We left Gardiner today with Gayle & Donna Anderson (picture in a few days) heading for Seattle to board the cruise ship on Sunday. We had a great day driving 450 miles to Spokane, Washington and love the wi-fi at the motel....Our plans are to return to Yellowstone where we have the truck and 5th wheel parked, spend a few days and then head home..some of the pretty scenes along the way

9-2-2008--Number 6
Number 6 is well known in Mammoth for goring cars and charging dumb tourist when they venture too close....he has a red tag in his ear and if he gets too aggressive they will remove his antlers. In the first picture you can see he was running after one of his ladies to get her back in the group and then dug his antlers in the ground. All part of the rut....

8-29-2008-Brenda's favorites!!!
Brenda and I traded "favorites folders" and I wanted to share some of hers on my blog. Brenda and John have become good friends over two years and we cherish that relationship....Thanks Brenda...
Rosie put her cubs up a tree and took a nap on a log beneath the tree. This is before she lost one of them to a male bear.

Brenda & John got to see this wolf at close range. He was waiting his turn to the bison remains.

8-26-2008-Four Bull Moose
This was an absolute treat....something that isn't seen very often and that is four bull moose together. The first three pictures were provided by my friend Brenda Smink as she was able to get closer than I was. The last one provided by Chris McCoy, our manager. The moose were on Petrified Tree Road as you start the trail to Lost Lake. What an end to a great summer.

8-25-2008--Christmas in Yellowstone
Christmas is celebrated in Yellowstone each year on August 25th....there are several stories but the one we like is on this date there was enough snow at Old Faithful to strand the vistors for a couple of days....they had food, decorations and a gift store so they had an old fashion Christmas at the lodge.
When I get home to my DSL connection, I will upload pictures of our employees this year.
Our Mammoth Christmas was a huge success because of our new manager Chris McCoy. He was full of spirit and that spilled over to the rest of us.
When I get home to my DSL connection, I will upload pictures of our employees this year.
